Microneedling is a non-invasive, cost-effective procedure that encourages skin rejuvenation in the face and body. During the procedure, mini abrasions are made on the area being treated.

As these mini abrasions heal, a series of rejuvenating factors are induced: increased blood flow to the area, as well as collagen and elastin stimulation.

Microneedling is used to treat fine lines, acne scars, stretch marks, and mild rosacea. The procedure is also used to minimize wrinkles, large pores, and traumatic scarring.

Microneedling brings minimal discomfort (feels like a sunburn), followed by quick healing time (2-5 days). All areas of the face, neck, and body can be treated. Results last 2-10 years depending on the client's age and lifestyle.

The area being treated must be free of any active acne, cold sores, and/or infection.

Microneedling on the face will require the client to be on an antiviral such as Valtrex or Acylovyr, prior to the procedure.

Those that take blood thinners regularly will need to be off the medication with the approval of a physician.

Plan to have 3-5 days of downtime after the procedure.

Similar to a sunburn, the treated area will be very red within the first 24 hours of the procedure, gradually lightening with each day.

It is recommended that clients wash their face with a gentle cleanser several times after the procedure.

Itchiness and tenderness will be present during the healing process. However, the healing process is quick.

The treated area may shed after a couple of days, revealing new, pink skin.

The client can continue to use their skin care regimen and apply makeup when needed.

Absolutely no sun 30 days prior to procedure and zero sun until the pinkness on the area has subsided.
